About Centre for Academic Language and Literacies
Please note: due to Covid-19, some of the locations may currently have safety measures in place, and be subject to reduced hours and capacity. Find out about changes on campus on our dedicated Covid-19 webpages.
If English isn’t your first language, we have a range of courses taught by experienced staff who can help you develop your skills and succeed in academic writing.
This includes in-sessional academic language development modules that you can take during the autumn and spring terms, where you’ll learn more about giving presentations and writing assignments at university level. They’re also a good way to meet people and make friends.
We also offer:
- International Foundation Certificates – one-year programmes that you take before your undergraduate degree
- Pre-Masters Pathways – one-year programmes that you take before your postgraduate degree
- Pre-sessional courses – shorter, more intensive programmes to develop your English language skills before you start your degree
The Centre for Academic Language and Literacies staff are here to support you throughout your time at Goldsmiths, and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Find out more about the Centre for Academic Language and Literacies.
