Next you head to one of the rooms off the Kingsway Corridor for a morning lecture. Attending lectures will be a regular part of your university life. They’re a chance for you to develop your understanding of the subject area by finding out more about different topics and perspectives. This could include learning from your department’s experts about community development, the individual in society, or the nature of need.

Library upstairs

Library (upstairs)

During your degree you’ll be expected to undertake a fair bit of independent study. Head to the library to spend a few hours catching up on your reading. It has subject guides for Art Psychotherapy, Community Studies, Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Studies, Dance Movement Psychotherapy, Psychosocial Studies and Social Work. The Subject Librarian can also give you specialist advice on journals and electronic resources.
