As a management student at Goldsmiths, you’ll get to the heart of how we make decisions, learn through the experience of others and investigate how organisations work at all levels. Our campus has a range of facilities to help you develop these skills, find out more about some of the key locations you will be using as a Management student. College Green

College Green

If your classes don’t start first thing in the morning, you can head over to the College Green, right in the middle of campus. On a sunny day this oasis is the perfect place to relax with friends, catch up on your reading, or take in the mix of old and new sights across the campus.

This is also where a giant marquee is erected to host many of the Welcome Week activities each year, including the Freshers’ Fayre. This is where you can explore and sign up for our student-run clubs and societies.

Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre

Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre

Head to your first lecture in the Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre, the entrance to which is conveniently located right next to the College Green! This is one of several big-tiered lecture theatres we have on campus (this one seats nearly 300 people). You may have other lectures here as well, or you may attend one of the many free events, guest lectures, and panels hosted here throughout the year.

Quad

Quad

After your lecture, it is back outside to make the most of the beautiful weather! The open-air Quad is nestled right in the middle of the Richard Hoggart Building, and is a great spot to eat your lunch and soak up the fresh air between classes. It’s also well-placed for a visit to The Space, which houses our Careers Service.

Goldsmiths Careers Service

After lunch, you can drop into the Careers Service for help with all aspects of job hunting. The Goldsmiths Careers Service can help you develop skills, get valuable work experience, and access expert advice. You can book one-to-one appointments with careers consultants, get your CV or LinkedIn profile checked, and practise your interview technique. You can also search our databases to find jobs and paid internship opportunities. If you aim to work for yourself in the future, the Careers Service offers lots of support and advice around setting up a business and developing your enterprise skills.

Students Union

Students’ Union (SU)

The Students’ Union (SU) is yet another place for you to hang out, meet friends, or catch up on work. At the heart of our community the Goldsmiths SU is run for students and by students – it’s somewhere you can try something new, make friends, and get inspired. There are over 100 student societies, sports clubs, and communities you can join, spanning everything from basketball and bouldering to Goldsmiths’ tech society Hacksmiths, and student media like Wired Radio and the Leopard newspaper.
