It’s Monday morning and you’ve got a week of lectures and seminars to come. Start the week with a coffee with friends at Thirty Five Café in the Richard Hoggart Building. This is a great spot to relax and socialise in, or even catch up on some reading before your seminars.

Head to the home of the Department of Educational Studies, the Margaret McMillan Building where you’ll be spending a lot of your time. Invest in a morning seminar or workshop, and use this time to engage with your lecturers and peers within the supportive environment fostered by the department.

You don’t need to venture very far for your lunchbreak. The Margaret McMillan Building is close by to plenty of social spots on campus. Depending on your mood, you and your friends can choose between the Cinema, Students’ Union or the Refectory in the Richard Hoggart Building. If you fancy a change of scene, walk up Dixon Road onto New Cross Road for a choice of local takeaways and cafés.

Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre

Don’t be late for your afternoon lecture – you don’t want to miss out on crucial learning. Enter the Whitehead Building from the College Green to find the Ian Gulland Lecture Theatre. This is the largest lecture theatre at Goldsmiths, so it is likely you will be experiencing some core learning here. Make sure to take plenty of notes!

Students’ Union (SU)

Congratulations your day of learning is over, so time for some fun. The Students’ Union is a great place to hang out. It looks like a nice day, so make the most of the balcony and chat with others to find out what societies you could join. From knitting to netball, there’s something for everyone.
